Our program is committed to accommodating a wide range of complex needs and providing a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for all our participants. Our adult day program is designed to provide support for people above 18 years of age with autism, mental health disorders, and substance use needs. Our program is built on the core values of providing individualized support, structured activities, therapeutic services, life skills training, vocational support, and recreational and social activities. Here's a breakdown of what each of these values entails:
Individualized Support: Our program understands that each participant has unique needs, and we provide individualized support plans that are tailored to the specific challenges and goals of each individual.
Structured Activities: We offer structured activities and routines that provide a sense of stability and predictability, which is particularly essential for people with autism and mental health disorders.
Therapeutic Services: Our program offers access to mental health counseling, behavioral therapy, and substance abuse treatment services on-site or through partnerships with external providers.
Life Skills Training: Participants are given opportunities to develop and enhance their daily living skills, such as cooking, budgeting, and social skills, to promote independence and self-sufficiency.
Vocational Support: We provide assistance with vocational training, job coaching, and supported employment opportunities to help participants develop skills for meaningful employment.
Recreational and Social Activities: Engaging in recreational and social activities promotes socialization, peer support, and overall well-being.
Our program is committed to accommodating a wide range of complex needs and providing a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for all our participants.
Coaching people with autism and other conditions or neurological disorders requires a thoughtful and customized approach that takes into account their unique strengths and challenges.
To ensure effective coaching, the following philosophical principles should be taken into account: Individualized approach, Strengths-based perspective, Patience and empathy, Clear communication, Flexibility and adaptability, Sensory considerations, Lifelong learning and growth, and Respect and dignity.
By embracing these principles, staff can create a supportive and empowering environment for individuals with autism, mental health conditions, and other neurological disorders to thrive and reach their full potential.
